Toasting 90 great years

Attendees were clad in some vintage fashions, dating back to the 1920s, remembering the good old days.

Village Toastmasters held a meeting recently to celebrate Toastmasters International’s 90th birthday, together with other Toastmasters clubs across the world.

Attendees were clad in some vintage fashions, dating back to the 1920s, remembering the good old days.

On the day, members performed a range of entertainment activities.

Mr Jonathan Silverberg won the Impromptu section with his non-verbal presentation.

Ms Ntokozo Makhoba presented her first prepared speech and won the category. Mr Edwin Wood presented an advanced speech.

Village Toastmasters meets every third Tuesday of the month at Trinity Presbyterian Church, on the corner of St David and Koster roads, Elma Park.
