No comment from Joburg Water

After numerous attempts to obtain comment from Joburg Water, emails and calls remain unanswered.

This followed after residents in Persimmon Street woke up to dry taps on October 28, after thieves stole water meters during the night.

The EXPRESS visited the area and discovered that about five water meters were stolen.

The article was published on November 4.

Several residents also complained about the plastic meters which were installed to replace the meters stolen earlier, saying they were too exposed and it was easier for the meters to be struck by vehicles.
