Local resident found killed on the street

A body of a Malvern resident was found next to Marathon Road and Ambush Street in Kensington in the early hours of Sunday.

Cleveland SAPS communications officer, Constable Mpho Mashakane said that stays on Marathon Road in the Malvern side.

“He was found by a person passing by. He had one visible stab wound on his upper body. Paramedics and police were called and he was certified dead on the scene,” Const Mashakane said.

She added that the family and the neighbours were able to notify him.

Const Mashakane said that the motive for his death is not known yet but a case of murder was opened.
