SAPS nab two for selling drugs

Police officers received a tip-off from the community.

Two people were arrested at two Bezuidenhout Valley lodges for dealing drugs in the early hours of Monday morning on November 17.

The Jeppe SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Richard Munyayi (27), said police officers received a tip-off from the community.

“When the police officers arrived at the first lodge after 1am, a man was found with 17 small, white and green plastic bag filled with a substance believed to be drugs. The man was arrested,” he said.

He added that the second arrest was made after 2am.

“When the police officers arrived at a different lodge, they found a woman (29) with two, black plastic bags filled with a white substance. She confessed to selling drugs,” said W/O Munyayi.

He added that the two will appear in court soon.
