Shopping centre gets upgrades
In the entertainment section, the highlight will be a new cinema which will cover 13 000 square metres of space. There will be two, new cine prestine theatres and an Imax theatre, all located on the rooftop.
New developments are on the cards at the Eastgate Shopping Centre.
This includes an extension of the entertainment area, retail stores and parking bays.

The centre, which caters for nearly 2-milliong shoppers every month, has also roped in international retail stores like Zara and the Top Shop to ensure a wide selection of choice for shoppers.
These stores are expected to open in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
Other stores, including Woolworths, Markham, Edgars, Jet and Foschini, will undergo refurbishment in a bid to expand services.
Elevators will be repositioned and new ablution facilities will be added.
In an endeavour to accommodate more shoppers, a parkade on the northern side will be extended with two extra parking areas.
Upon completion, the Eastgate Shopping Centre will have 1 300 square metres of parking space available to shoppers.
