Four arrested for possession of dagga

The Yeoville SAPS arrested four men for possession of dagga at the corner of Hopkins and Bezuitenhout streets on Saturday at about 7am.

Constable Thabo Malatji, from the Yeoville SAPS, said the police received information about a house being used as a dagga storage facility in Yeoville.

On arrival, police officers found four men in the house smoking dagga.

The suspects were searched and dagga was found in their possession. The suspects were arrested and detained at the Yeoville SAPS.

Const Malatji said while the suspects were at the police station, one suspect tried to bribe an officer with R200.

A charge of bribery was added to the suspect.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon.
