Cop kills lover and turns gun on himself
Woman tries to escape after being shot and collapses.
A police constable based at the Edenvale Police Station allegedly shot and killed Constable Florence Seleka before turning the gun on himself at Kopanong section in Tembisa on Wednesday.
Constable Seleka was based at the newly opened Tembisa South Police Station.
According to an eyewitness, she heard several shots from Const Seleka’s bedroom, and later saw Const Seleka escape from the room and tried to run away.
She eventually collapsed and the eyewitness noticed she was bleeding profusely. She was rushed to Tembisa Hospital where she was certified dead on arrival.
It is also alleged that after shooting Const Seleka, Constable Lucas Makhura, shot himself and was also rushed to hospital where he later died. The motive for the shooting is not known. Tembisa Cluster Communication Director, Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha, confirmed the incident.
