SAPS urges residents to be vigilant

The Cleveland SAPS has urged people to be vigilant, following another hijacking in Kensington yesterday.

Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said a woman was with her sister when she was blocked by suspects driving a white BMW at the corner of Lancaster and Cadiff roads.

A suspect exited the vichle and pointed a firearm at the woman. He instructed her to get out of the car. She and her sister did so. The men drove off with her BMW X5. The vehicle was later recovered in Doornfontein.

Const Mashakane said there were about six suspects involved in this incident. She urged people to look around when driving to make sure they are not being followed. Drive to the nearest police station if you feel you are being followed.
