Man killed, dumped

A man who was hijacked was found with his throat slit by police on Tuesday.

Constable Thabo Malatji, the Yeoville SAPS communications officer, said a woman and her fiancé were hijacked on Tuesday evening at the corner of Regent and Phile streets in Yeoville.

Three suspects forced them to drive around the area. The suspects dropped the woman off in Hunter Street and left with her boyfriend.

Later the police received a complaint about a body of a man dumped at the corner of Regent East and Fourie streets.

They found a man with his throat slit. He fitted the description of the hijack victim.

No arrest has been made yet.
