Constable Thabo Malatji, the Yeoville SAPS communications officer, said police officers received information about a vehicle that was hijacked in Soweto.
The tracking system took police officers to the corner of Hopkins and Cavendish streets.
The officers found a man in the vehicle, who was subsequently arrested and detained.
