Norwood man sexually abuses cat

The cat was taken to Kitty and Puppy Haven by a man who claimed he took the animal from a friend after he found out his friend had raped her.

A female cat, which was sexually abused by a man residing in the northern Johannesburg suburb of Norwood, was humanely euthanised yesterday.

The cat was taken to Kitty and Puppy Haven by a man who claimed he took the animal from a friend after he found out his friend had raped her.

In a statement released on Kitty and Puppy Haven’s Facebook page, the organisation said the animal was in a shocking condition when she arrived at the sanctuary.

The man who handed the cat to the sanctuary requested emergency medical treatment for her.

When the man was questioned by staff, he said he had taken the animal away from someone who had sexually molested her.

The cat was rushed to the sanctuary’s clinic where she was examined.

When staff attempted to push for more information, the man said the cat was from a friend who lived in the Norwood area, neighbouring Linksfield.

The confrontation became heated when staff requested more details of the man’s friend and the man left.

A veterinarian confirmed that the cat was injured beyond saving and a decision was made to euthanise her.
