A 36-year-old man was arrested for possession of stolen property on Tuesday, August 19.
According to the Bedfordview SAPS, an on-duty officer was patrolling the Elandsfontein area.
The officer noticed a white Mercedes Benz without a license plate. The officer stopped the vehicle, searched it and found Telkom copper cables. The officer ask the suspect to provide an explanation as to why he was in possession of copper cables. When the suspect could not give a reasonable explanation, he was arrested and detained at the Bedfordview SAPS.
The man is due to appear in the Edenvale Court. @BedfordJourno
