Constable Mpho Mashakane, from the Cleveland SAPS, said a woman alleged she went to a pub in Bez Valley with a colleague.
“In the early hours of the morning they left the place to go home. Along the way the man asked the woman to have sex with her and when she refused, he grabbed her by the throat. She fell down. The man then allegedly raped her,” said Const Mashakane.
He ran towards the pub after raping the woman.
The woman reported the matter and a suspect (22) was arrested.
