Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said a Chinese man was driving a white BMW X5 with his child and wife. They were driving on Cumberland Road towards Allum Road.
“A white Toyota Hilux passed the man and forced him to pull over,” said Const Mashakane.
Two men exited the bakkie and pointed firearms at the man and his wife.
They were told to get out of the car.
“Once the man and his family exited the car, the suspects entered the BMW and drove away,” she said.
The registration number of the hijacked vehicle XWX 081 GP.
