Const Mpho Mashakane said a man living in North Avenue, in Bez Valley, alleged he went to lock a gate and realised the lock was broken.
“He went into the yard to investigate and saw one suspect hiding next to a book rack. He apprehended him and screamed for help. Police were called and the suspect was arrested,” said Const Mashakane.
The man was found in possession of copper pipes stolen from the property.
