Dancers to represent South East Gauteng

The team won the choreography event and the South East Gauteng Highland Dancing team won the challenge.

Nine dancers from the Shaw-Butler Dancing Studio, in Edenvale, were chosen to represent South East Gauteng at the Inter-provincial Highland Dancing Challenge held at Jeppe Quondam on July 27.

Other results included Kayleigh Wright, who came first in the beginners section. Shannon O’Connor placed fourth in the intermediate section and Alicia Walters placed first in the championship U/16 section. Megan Moore and Sharon Enell placed first in the 16 to 17 year championship, Leonie Thompson and Sarah McAlpine placed first in the adult championship. Nicola Moore and Shonagh Aylward placed second in the premier 16 to 19 year section.
