Man killed, child hospitalised after vehicle overturns
The man was certified dead on the scene and the child was rushed to the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital.
A man was killed when the vehicle he was travelling in overturned in Yeoville. The accident took place at the corner of Observatory and Innes streets on Monday, August 11.
According to Constable Thabo Malatji, the spokesperson of the Yeoville SAPS, the man was travelling with his child in the vehicle when it overturned.
He said the man was found trapped inside the vehicle and emergency services had to use the jaws of life to free the body from the wreckage.
Const Malatji said the man was certified dead on the scene.
The child survived and was taken to the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital. Investigations are continuing into the cause of the accident. @JoburgJourno
