Fraudster nabbed at internet cafe

The arrest took place at the corner of Rocky and Bezuidenhout streets on Wednesday, August 6.

A 35-year-old man was arrested for possession of fraudulent documents in Yeoville.

The arrest took place at the corner of Rocky and Bezuidenhout streets on Wednesday, August 6.

“The police received information about a man who was forging pay-slips and identity documents at an internet café. On arrival, the officers caught the man in the act,” said Constable Thabo Malatji, of the Yeoville SAPS. According to Const Malatji, the man was found in possession of government employee pay-slips and three barcoded South African identity documents bearing different names.

“He was arrested and detained at the Yeoville SAPS and he is expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Const Malatji. @JoburgJourno
