Jeppe SAPS police officers responded to a call for back-up on August 1. Information received was that of a white Opel Corsa bakkie involved in an armed robbery in Alberton.
Police officers chased the suspects from Wolhuter Street. The suspects turned into Berea Road and drove to the Kwa Mai Mai bazaar.
The vehicle was abandoned in the street.
The registration number of the abandoned vehicle was checked and it was established that the suspects’ vehicle was a duplicate of another Opel Corsa bakkie.
