47 suspects were arrested in Yeoville over the weekend for various crimes during an anti-crime blitz.
According to Constable Thabo Malatji, the spokesperson for the Yeoville SAPS, the charges ranged from assault, theft, malicious damage to property, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of dagga, possession of a dangerous weapon, common robbery and contravention of the immigration laws. Constable Malatji said most of the suspects are expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon, facing various charges. @JoburgJourno
