Louca makes video court appearance

Louca appeared on a charge of possession of stolen property

Cypriot national George Louca made his court appearance at the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on August 6, via camera, on a screen set up in the courtroom.

Louca appeared on a charge of possession of stolen property. According to his lawyer, Mr Owen Blumberg, Louca would no longer be appearing in court in person as his security had been compromised.

According to Mr Blumberg, Louca had been moved to an alternative place of safety.

Magistrate Eric Mhlari postponed the case to September 9 to allow the defence the opportunity to consult Louca and to make recommendations to the senior public prosecutor if necessary.

Louca is also accused of killing Teazers strip club boss Mr Lolly Jackson. The murder case has set down for trial from January 26 to March 6 next year in the South Gauteng High Court.
