Bertrams residents can breathe a sigh of relief, following the cleaning of the vacant stands on Gordon Road recently.

The stands were vacant for years and the grass had grown to unacceptable lengths. Residents of the nearby old-age home will be the most relived, as this affected them the most. The stands are situated opposite the Gerald Fitzpatrick House (GFH), which houses a number of frail-care patients.
