Krejcir judge possibly shot at

Judge Colin Lamont, a judge in the trial of Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir, was the target of what is suspected to be a drive-by shooting.

The incident took place on Monday, July 28.

SAPS spokesperson, Lieutenant General Solomon Makgale, confirmed that while driving home Lamont heard a loud bang and saw that his windscreen had a slight crack.

“Given the matter he is presiding over, we have decided to up his personal security while we are investigating what exactly could have caused the windscreen of his car to crack,” said Lt Gen Makgale.
