The home team seemed rattled by the crisp passing game being displayed by the visitors.

Vosloorus Spurs FC used a lot of wing play, sending passes to the wing, for their quick winger to chase and get into the box.

The first half ended at 0-0, with both teams wondering what was needed to put the ball at the back of the net.

Malvern FC showed more energy at the start of the second half, making an early substitution in order to keep up the momentum. The game’s opener finally came from the boot of Spurs midfielder, Kagiso Senamela, who found space in the box and slotted the ball in. From there on, the home team were chasing the game. Fighter’s FC kept sending numbers forward, hoping to find the equaliser.

The game ended with the score locked on 1-0, to Spurs FC.

The Spurs FC coach, Mr Tebogo Ngobeni, said it was a tough game.

“We came here for a victory, but we were made to sweat for it. They are tough opponents and had the support of the local supporters. They must keep their heads up, they have a good team,” said Ngobeni. @JoburgJourno
