A 27-year-old man was arrested for the murder of his girlfriend in Yeoville. The incident occurred at the corner of Becker and Cavendish streets on Tuesday, July 22.
According to Constable Thabo Malatji, spokesperson of the Yeoville SAPS, it is alleged that the suspect and the deceased had an argument at their place of residence and the suspect stabbed the deceased on the upper body. He said the police were called to the scene and found a woman lying in a pool of blood and was certified dead on the scene. Const Malatji added that the suspect was arrested a few blocks away from the scene, attempting to flee. He said the suspect is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon facing charges of murder. @JoburgJourno
