Mandela Day celebrated at Bedford Centre

Shoppers showed how much they cared by dropping off old and new baby clothes, food for our furry friends, toys and blankets.

Mandela Day was celebrated at the Bedford Centre, with food and other items being collected for the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA and the Grace Factory.

The Grace Factory is a non-profit organisation that collects baby items and distributes them to other non-profit organisations, such as children’s home and orphanages.

According to Ms Nikki Savides, the marketing manager at the Bedford Centre, “Shoppers showed how much they cared by dropping off old and new baby clothes, food for our furry friends, toys and blankets.”

“We are thrilled with the outcome and we are glad the Bedford Centre could make a difference in our community. We hope to carry on this tradition, not just on Mandela Day, but throughout the year,” said Ms Savides. @BedfordJourno
