The meeting will be held at the NG Kerk located at 25 King Street in Malvern.
Residents who attend will have the opportunity to meet and converse with the newly elected ward councillor, Clr Mike Spadino.
There will also be representatives from Al-Anon. They will talk about the negative effects of alcohol and how to cope with living with alcohol abuse.
Ms Bernadette Wentzel, the chairperson of the forum, said alcoholism is rife in Malvern.
“It is a disease that contributes to criminal activity and socio-economic decline and, like any other disease, it cannot be ignored, whether you consume alcohol or not,” said Ms Wentzel.
She said the CCPF Sector 3 meeting is a stepping stone forward for the community to unite with a common cause and to work together as one.
