Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said organised crime unit police officers received information from residents about a taxi loaded with dagga.
The police found the vehicle in Main Reef Road.
There were two women and one man in the vehicle.
The officers searched the vehicle and found 14 yellow bags containing dagga.
The three people were arrested for possession of dagga and detained at the Cleveland SAPS.
