Paint & Pallet to host textured demonstration

Ms Bekker will be demonstrating textured buildings with some techniques at the July 19 meeting of the Edenvale Paint & Pallet Group.

Ms Jacqueline Bekker, a full time artist from Benoni with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, has experimented in many different disciplines during her time at three different universities.

Her style of work has progressed and matured over the years, from realism to abstraction.

Ms Bekker has a passion for texture and the alchemical changes that take place while mixing or burning different substances which she likens to human interactions causing their destiny.

Ms Bekker will be demonstrating textured buildings with some techniques at the July 19 meeting of the Edenvale Paint & Pallet Group.

The group will meet at the Edenvale Community Centre situated at the corner of Van Riebeeck Avenue and Second Street.

The demonstration will take place from 2pm and guests are asked to be at the venue by 1.30pm.

The entrance fee is R50 for visitors and R20 for members, which include refreshments.
