Man arrested for fraud

The man left the dealership and later returned with proof of payment and informed the employee that he would pay the full amount of the vehicle once the cash reflected in his company account.

A 43-year-old man was arrested for fraud after attempting to purchase a vehicle in Bedfordview on June 27.

The arrest was made after the man approached a vehicle dealership and informed an employee that he was interested in making a cash purchase for the vehicle. The employee informed the suspect that the transaction would require his banking details.

The man left the dealership and later returned with proof of payment and informed the employee that he would pay the full amount of the vehicle once the cash reflected in his company account.

The employee went to the bank to find out if the document was legitimate. The bank confirmed that the document was forged.

The police were called and the suspect was apprehended. The man is due to appear in court on charges of fraud.
