A 42-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs in Yeoville.
The arrest took place at the corner of Louis Botha and Grafton streets on Sunday, June 23.
“Police officers were conducting stop-and-search operations when they stopped a suspicious looking man,” said Constable Thabo Malatji, of the Yeoville SAPS.
According to Const Malatji, the police searched the suspect and found six small plastics inside his pocket containing nyaope.
“He was arrested and detained at the Yeoville SAPS. He is expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of possession of drugs,” said Const Malatji.
