Louca trial set for January 2015

Mr Louca will be appearing in court in connection with the murder of Teazers boss, Mr Lolly Jackson.

The trial date of George Louca was set for January 2015, after he appeared in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Friday, June 20.

Magistrate Eric Mhlari set the trial date for January 26 to March 6 next year. The case will be heard at the Johannesburg High Court.

Mr Louca will be appearing in court in connection with the murder of Teazers boss, Mr Lolly Jackson.

Mr Louca also faces charges of unlawfully possessing a firearm and unlawfully possessing ammunition.

According to Magistrate Mhlari, Mr Louca could face possible life imprisonment if found guilty of murder and a maximum of 15 years in prison or a R600 000 fine for each of the other two charges.

Mr Louca fled South Africa and returned to his hometown of Limassol in Cyprus, shortly after Mr Jackson’s murder in May 2010.

Mr Louca returned to South Africa on Sunday, February 9, after losing his final appeal in the Supreme Court of Cyprus.
