The case regarding a dog attack which left five people injured in Malvern is yet to be finalised.

The EXPRESS previously reported in its May 6 edition that the dog went on a rampage, attacking five people on the corner of Marathon and St Fransquin streets on April 17.

According to an eyewitness, the dog came out from the property and started to charge at people. Residents confirmed that it was not the first time the dog had attacked people.

Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS spokesperson, said there is still paperwork outstanding in the case.

“The investigating officer is still waiting for some of the victims to come forward. All the victims of the dog attack have to submit their medical reports before a decision on whether to prosecute or not is made. All of that has to be noted before the matter is finalised,” said Const Mashakane.
