Alert members of Courier It Risk were vital in recovering a stolen vehicle after it was spotted in Edenvale on Thursday afternoon.
“The vehicle was spotted and reported as suspicious to the Edenvale SAPS,” said the acting spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, Lieutenant Colonel Robbie Roberts.
He added that when officers arrived, the driver of the vehicle was told to pull off the road.
“Officers identified that the vehicle had been stolen in Midrand earlier that same day. The driver was placed under arrest,” he said.
“Well done to the alert members of Courier It Risk who spotted the vehicle and immediately contacted the SAPS. By being alert, this team played a vital part in the arrest of the suspect,” said Lt Col Roberts.
The man was profiled at the police station and it was found he had been previously arrested for similar offences.
