A Yeoville man was arrested for the possession of stolen property on Sunday, May 11.
The arrests took place at the corner of Joe Slovo and Raleigh streets. “The police were on a routine patrol when they stopped a grey Mercedes Benz with one occupant. They searched the vehicle and found 27 powdered milk containers stashed in the boot,” said Constable Thabo Malatji, of the Yeoville SAPS.
According to Const Malatji, the driver could not provide proof of ownership of the goods.
“He was arrested and is expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Const Malatji.
