Members of Writers 2000 were addressed by the vice chairperson, Ms Nicolette Bosman,on Saturday, April 26.
Her discussion covered the topic ‘Your Life as a Story’.
She spoke about how writers can, and should, draw from their own lives and experiences to emphasise a topic.
Ms Bosman shared her experience of a tour in Hillbrow, which elicited many memories from her youth when she lived in Yeoville and worked in Braamfontein and Hillbrow.
Her experience of the tour was different to that of the other participants, as she did it on her motorised wheelchair.
The next meeting of Writers 2000 will take place at 2pm on Saturday, 31 May, in the Inyoni Creek Clubhouse. The meeting will be of more interest to writers interested in poetry.
