R15 000 worth of cocaine is off the streets thanks to members of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department’s (EMPD) Germiston crime prevention unit.

Officers were patrolling in Klopperpark recently when they spotted an occupant of a red Volkswagen Golf acting suspiciously.

“The man was confronted and his vehicle searched. EMPD officers came across 23 packets of cocaine with an estimated street value of R15 000,” said the spokesperson for the EMPD, Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago.
