Three arrested for house burglary

The husband took the men to the safe, where they stole stole jewellery and money. The suspects then demanded the keys to the car and gate. The men fled with some of the stolen items.

The Bedfordview SAPS confirmed the arrest of three suspects following three house burglaries in the Bedfordview area.

According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, the arrest was made after the men robbed a house.

“The men broke into the house through the bathroom window and went to the main bedroom where they found the husband and wife. The men demanded money, while threatening to rape the woman if they were not given any money,” said Sgt Nhlabathi.

Following investigation by the Bedfordview SAPS detectives, three suspects were linked to the crime. The men were arrested and are due to appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.”

“The Bedfordview SAPS will continue working hard in the battle against crime in the area. We are on full alert following the recent house burglaries and we call on community members to be vigilant and assist in bringing these perpetrators to justice,” said Sgt Nhlabathi.
