SAPS continue investigations

10 people were found in possession of unlicensed firearms and vehicles. Security uniforms, radios, balaclavas, clothes, bags and cellular phone jamming machines were also found.

Investigations into five of the 10 men arrested by police officers last month in Jeppestown revealed that they were involved in prior crimes.

Last month the EXPRESS reported that the Johannesburg Crime Intelligence Unit received information about criminals in Jeppestown on March 13.

They went to a property at the corner of Pentz and Jules streets.

Five of these suspects were previously arrested on cases of possession of unlicensed firearms and are out on bail.

One of the five suspects has a warrant of arrest issued against him for the above-mentioned charge at Johannesburg Central.

Following investigations, it was determined that five suspects were arrested previously for the possession of unlicensed firearms. They are out on bail.

One of the five suspects had a warrant of arrest for the possession of unlicensed firearms as well as stolen vehicles.
