Jewellery valued at R200k stolen

The Bedfordview SAPS is investigating a house burglary that took place on Monday, March 24.

According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, a woman left her home with the house secured at 8.30am.

The victim returned home at 3pm and found the bathroom window of her house had been forced open. The security bars were also removed.

“The victim found that everything in her bedroom was searched through, with several items such as clothes and furniture on the floor. Jewellery to the value of R200 000 was stolen during the burglary,” said Sgt Nhlabathi.

No arrests have been made and police are still investigating.
