Pupils visit the Germiston and Bedfordview SPCA

The manager for the SPCA, Mr Laurence Kingston, took the youngsters on a tour of the dog and cat kennels and even introduced them to the staff.

Nine students from the Glen Oaks Schools in Kensington paid a visit to the Germiston and Bedfordview SPCA on February 12.

The young students have adopted the SPCA as their project for 2014.

The students will be learning a more on how the SPCA operates and how they can create awareness about dogs and cats during this year.

He explained the various duties and functions of the SPCA.

“The SPCA had to field so many questions and we found this so refreshing coming from our younger generation,” said Mr Kingston.
