Attend Ilka’s meeting

Ilka’s aim is to improve the suburb, create neighbourliness, keep people informed of what is happening in their surroundings and help residents who are not successful in reporting lack of service delivery to council, SAPS and other relevant departments.

All Kensington residents are urged to attend the I Love Kensington Association’s (Ilka) annual general meeting.

The meeting will start at 10am at the Kensington Bowling Club in Ivanhoe Street on March 29.

Residents are advised to get there at 9.30am if they would like to register as members.

Members of Ilka will be able to vote for the committee and the executive at the annual general meeting.

“You may renew your membership or join Ilka on the day from 9.30am. Alternatively, email us for a membership form and bring it along with your proof of payment. Ilka membership costs will remain the same as previous years; R200 for businesses, R150 for families, R100 per individual and R50 for pensioners. This is a per annum cost,” said Ms Sue Muller, who deals with the communications for Ilka.

Ilka’s aim is to improve the suburb, create neighbourliness, keep people informed of what is happening in their surroundings and help residents who are not successful in reporting lack of service delivery to council, SAPS and other relevant departments.

If you require a copy of the constitution, or if you wish to be nominated to stand for the committee, forward your details with a brief resume and reason for wishing to stand to chair@kensington.org.za
