A man was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment on February 17 for robbing a person at knife-point in Malvern.
Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said a woman was approached by a man at the corner of Monmouth and Jules streets on October 6, 2013.
“He threatened to stab her and he took her bag containing clothes and cash. He fled the scene,” said Const Mashakane.
The woman saw a police vehicle and stopped the police officers. She gave a description of the suspect and he was found and arrested.
He was found in possession of a camera and a wallet belonging to the woman.
