A preschool conference was held at Saheti School for 120 nursery school teachers on February 8.
Ms Pat Simpson, an Edenvale educator who writes books and arranges talks for preschool teachers and Dr Melodie de Jager, a world-renowned educational speaker, were two of the gues speakers present.
Dr De Jager gave the keynote address, which centred on preparing children for school. Along with speakers Dr De Jager and Ms Simpson, were Ms Brigitte Thompson, Ms Heidi Twilley and Ms Renee Lighton. Ms Thompson spoke about disciplining children, Ms Twilley spoke about music and how it influences children and Ms Lighton helped teachers use everyday items to educate children.
