The Bedfordview SAPS is looking for this man in connection with a kidnapping and attempted rape on Bradford Road in Bedfordview.
According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, a man was standing outside his taxi in Bradford Road when he allegedly approached a woman.
“The victim claims the man grabbed, slapped her and forced her inside his taxi. He then told her to lie down and drove around with the victim still inside the taxi. The man stopped and began sexually assaulting the victim before trying to rape her,” said Sgt Nhlabathi.
The victim defended herself and the man was unable to rape her. The suspect then drove around with the victim some more before leaving the victim on the side of a road.
The victim managed to reach a police station where she opened a case. No arrests have been made but the police are investigating. Anyone with information can contact Constable Bophela on 071 233 4303.
