Ilka annual general meeting

Ilka, formerly the Kensington Ratepayers’ Association, helps residents who are not successful in reporting lack of service delivery to council, the SAPS and other relevant departments and tries to improve the suburb in any way it can.

The I Love Kensington Association’s (Ilka) annual general meeting will take place on March 29.

The meeting will start at 10am at the Kensington Bowling Club in Ivanhoe Street. However, the doors will open at 9.30am for registration.

Mrs Lornette Joseph, the chairperson of Ilka, urged all residents to attend this meeting. Several issues of importance will be discussed.

Members of Ilka will be able to vote for the committee and the executive at the annual general meeting.

“You may renew your membership or join Ilka on the day from 9.30am. Alternatively, email us for a membership form and bring it along with your proof of payment. Ilka membership costs will remain the same as previous years; R200 for businesses, R150 for families, R100 per individual and R50 for pensioners. This is a per annum cost,” said Ms Sue Muller, who deals with the communications for Ilka.
