Three suspects were arrested for dealing in drugs on Thursday, February 20.

According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, an on-duty police official was alerted to dagga dealing near the Elandsfontein taxi rank.

“The officer went to the scene, searched and identified a hawker who had a dagga-filled black plastic bag under the table at her stand. The officer arrested the hawker at the scene. This lead to a search operation and other police officials attended the scene, conducted a search and arrested another two suspects in the taxi rank area for dealing in dagga,” said Sgt Nhlabathi.
