An armed robbery took place on the N12 highway before the Edenvale off ramp.
According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, the victim was driving on the highway when two men demanded he stop his vehicle.
“The victim stopped his vehicle after the suspects, who were driving a silver car, flashed a police badge at him. The two men exited their car with firearms. The suspects stole money and fled the scene,” said Sgt Nhlabathi.
No gunshots were fired and the victim was uninjured. Investigations are continuing and a case of an armed robbery has been opened.
