Then why not head to the Modderfontein grounds to view the vehicles the Piston Ring Club showcases.
The Piston Ring is a club, which has a clubhouse and canteen, for vehicles 20 years and older.
More than 300 old vehicles are on display at each meeting. Enthusiasts restoring their vehicles can also have a look at parts for these vehicles.
The club meets on the third Sunday of every month.
While there, people can also visit the trader’s fair, which features antiques, books and bric-a-brac items.
“There is a tremendous spirit of camaraderie among the old car fraternity. Even if you have no interest in old cars, a pleasant Sunday morning can be had. Who knows, the bug may catch you,” said Mr Frank Rundle, the chairman of the Piston Ring Club.
