Krejcir associates denied bail

Magistrate Deon Schnetler ruled that the defence failed to prove how the release of Sergeant Nandi Nkosi and Zoe Biyela would be in the interests of justice.

Two of the five people accused of attempting to murder the investigators in the Radovan Krejcir case were denied bail by the Alexandra Regional Court on Wednesday.

Two women are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, possession of unlicensed firearms, possession of unlicensed ammunition, possession of stolen vehicles and theft.

Magistrate Deon Schnetler ruled that the defence failed to prove how the release of Sergeant Nandi Nkosi and Zoe Biyela would be in the interests of justice.

In affidavits submitted to the court, both women denied any involvement in the alleged plot to kill forensic investigator Paul O’Sullivan and crime intelligence officer Colonel Nkosana Killer Ximba.

Both women are due back in court on February 18 with three others, Siboniso Miya, Owen Serrero and Jacob Nare, who are also accused of plotting the murder of the investigators.
